The symposium provides a platform for educators to share their experiences in practice-based engineering and technology education. Since Kagoshima is the southern port of Japan, this symposium offers regional participants an opportunity to interact with their peers and experts in engineering and technology education at a relatively low travel budget. For participants from further afield, it provides an excellent opportunity to visit the exciting East.
